Very nicely done Marilyn, excellent resource.

I hope it will help :D ---At least for some begining artists who are having trouble understanding color theory. Glad you like it -- You know how to work colors beautifully :D You should make one too!

I use this technique a lot in colored pencils, but I find it harder to do in Photoshop. Thanks for the tutorial, It gave me a few ideas of my own!!!

Looks good. :) My only comment is that the highlight is not always warm, and the shadows don't need to be cool values. It all depends on your light source! Cool light and warm shadows can produce absolutely beautiful finished products. XD
:iconkatmomma:
You are absolutely right! It always depends on the light source! --But for beginners...I wanted to keep things simple. Thanks for the feedback! :D

I adore color theory! :D This is incredibly helpful for beginners, I wish I knew this when I first started out. I used to use black and white like crazy in my shadows and highlights.

Fezzik: Why do you wear a mask? Were you burned by acid, or something like that?
Westley:
Oh no. It's just that they're terribly comfortable. I think everyone will be wearing them in the future.
