I like the expression on her face. The highlights could be pushed a little more. Her body seem a little out of proportion but not terribly so. There is a scale problem that is screaming at me though and that is the size of the skull and the size of her head, unless it is a demon skull but then it should look more demonic.

Heh. I added Bob The Skull in towards the end of the painting, mostly because the scene called for one (and I need to check this, but I think there was part of one in the stock I used as reference), but also because Bob's ended up being a figure I like painting. In this case, I made him slightly out of scale to the witch in the scene because it let me be a bit more expressive with him.
I'm fairly sure I can justify this with barely remembered descriptions from my art history class back in college, but enh. It's 'cause he looks cool.
That and I thought a Plushy Cthulhu would be overkill.
well I don't think that a Plushy Cthulhu would be overkill [link] although I did this piece a while back.

`karemelancholia is one of the most genuine deviants you could ever met. Always active and a true deviantART cheerleader and supporter in every aspect. You can always count on her to lend a hand or get involved, and you usually will find her doing large amounts of both at any given moment. She's consistently reports on contests around dA, showcases the efforts of her fellow artists and shows her charitable side through various activities. Besides all of this, she's a truly talented artist which is why she's an obvious choice for deviousness this month. Read More
