:) I've been to Melbourne... someone put us up in a condo a block from the coast in drop dead heat and humidity. We left on the day of your big horse race... watching all the dressed up people on our way to the airport. My favorite thing was walking on the beach... we don't do beaches like you do... yours goes all the way around!!!!! :w00t:

Sooo..it was a bit of a pit-stop then. Can't say i've had anything to do with Cup Day Race myself..it's a day 4 family picnics..!! I met my husb & his parents when they returned from living in Phnx. Ariz.. A couple of yrs..pastoring a church there.. so he (husb) was only 15-16 at the time..graduated high school..got his car licence.. then got to travel a bit with friends as he didn't have a work-visa...We've been married 30yrs in May & my m'in'law still writes to many friends in diff states...Never got back for a visit...

I guess I was there for a week or so; we had been invited to teach "A Course in Miracles" to some of the groups there but most of our time was spent in Byron Bay and Sydney [my favorite city in the world]. I remember leaving in 90 degree weather and arriving here in a blizzard that lasted from the end of November until late March [so it seemed]. The coast of Australia is one of the most amazing places in the world... you can drive out, park, walk to the beach and look as far as the eye can see in both directions and you are the only one within sight [unless you are very near a town] with the waves crashing on the shore!!! I loved it!!!! :D
