WHOA HEY THERE, first of all thank you so much for the comment <3 There's nothing I love more than a good read.
I actually saw your wip for the contest, and I was like "... Okay, my picture is a lost cause LOL" You've put WAY more effort than I could ever come up with, it wouldn't be surprising to see your picture being the top entry ;D Mannn yeah, I think I'll go edit the background a bit right now XD I noticed it was sort of empty and weird after saving it, but my brain couldn't compute anything to add in. That, and I'm a lazy arse ;D (viable excuse!!) Your suggestions are really helpful and wise...! D: THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
Aah, for expressions... Sometimes, it helps to go 'over the edge', as they say. Usually in a typical anime style, you'd see someone draw this girl with big sparkling eyes and those V smiles. Although it's one way to give expression, it is VERY limited. A good example of good use of expressions would be the One Piece manga XD Man, you can REALLY feel it when they're happy, when they're crying (no kidding), when they're shocked... The style upholds a very big difference between all other anime: it stretches boundaries. Something to think about ;D <3
Oh my god ;_; I.. I love this so much!! I don't even know where to start. Well the pose for one thing...absolutely sweet! Guy is holding that mobile like someone would dangle a sting for a kitty to play with Luke's expression (especially) his mouth is so full of emotion! Something I fail at usually. The SOCKS!! I adore the SOCKS! (especially Guy's because green is my favorite color) The lighting and the folds in the sheets/blanket are very nice. The only thng I could even suggest would maybe be some stars or shadows of bushes or something outside the window. It's a pretty big window, and there's only the moon there. Even adding a the fon belt with a bit of reflection from the moon might be nice (since Luke does have a rather nice view of the fon belt from said window) I was pretty proud of my own entry and then I saw this D: and I realize just how much I lack skill-wise. EVERYTHING About this picture pulls together perfectly. They are part of the background, which I haven't pulled off so well. When I try, it looks like the characters are pasted onto the background. Once again the lightng, poses, facial expressions and everything I could just LICK THE SCREEN and taste the pretty colors. lol XD ....not gonna seriously try it though they do look delicious...
This is also my favorite pairing for Luke (with Tear as a close second) so of course I love it for that reason as well ^.^ I've been watching you for a while but I go through deviations kind of slow, but when I saw this there was a blank pic next to it that said "GREATEST FANART EVER" or something XD and I think you could easily drag this picture over to there and it would be true I have to +fav this. I love it phenominally

ah yes... I absolutely ADORE One Piece. It's one of my favorite animes EVER XD USOPP-San! (sogeking! ) and I agree with you on the facial expressions there. When they smile, it makes me smile too, and when they cry I'm right there crying with them. No other anime does that to me. Oda is a mangaka GOD >o< I can't believe I never thought to study those espressions a bit more >.< Sometimes I'm not the brightest crayon in the box. lol Thanks for the tips!
One more thing I forgot to mention. Luke's little hands... they're soooooo cute XD;; Man I'm a dork. I just wanna mplet Guy...even though he's prolly like 14 here. I'm such a pedo O_o;;
Yes yes yes ^.^ the Edit was the perfect icing to top the cake! sorry for commenting yet AGAIN >_> but I really think it's perfect now! a shooting star! make a wish, Luke

Across the globe, 27 million men, women, and children live in some form of slavery. That is more people at this moment than in all the centuries of the Atlantic Slave Trade. Something must be done. This contest serves two purposes: Raising awareness about human trafficking and raising funds for the Not For Sale organization.
Open to all mediums. Deadline is March 10, 2010 @ 11:59pm PST.
