My humble opinion is that perhaps the light that agrees more to the image is one that emphasizes the curve of the defile that lost by the left. In order to mark something plus the depth of the place.

Your right, I need to have that curve well defined, I think an evening light might do that as it will make that rich green really textured. Plus it needs my tripod and a very narrow aperture to get it much sharper.

This landscape has near-limitless potential. There's a slight fuzziness about the whole image that gives away the handheld element, but as a compositional piece it is marvellous; the tones are good, too. I look forward to future deviations of the same location: I think you'll get some stunning pieces if you're there at the right time. This'd probably look good in black & white, too, especially if there's a human element there at the time.
