Wow, she's looks sooo beautiful!!!! I absolutely love Kiya in your style, Stang Her expression is great and so's the coloring, not to mention all the nifty the Gargoyle details, like the claws and her wings are just spectacular
Now her outfit is just too cute! You truly captured what I was thinking of; comfort, something that's easy to maneuver in but NY stylin' as well The colors are great and you're right, they truly complement her natural coloring, esp. the blue and golds. Oh and awesome job with the accessories as well! I really love that you mixed that Egyptian heritage in with this modern change of style Kiya takes on
Thanks sooooo much for entering the contest, my love, and I shall update my journal with your awesome entry And I shall wait ever so patiently for the commissions to be finished now that I has this eye candy of Kiya to look @
I wish you nothing but the best in the contest!! :3
Did you use copic markers on her? she looks GEORGOUS

thank you she's a pretty sweet garg, Volpe did a good job with her, pretty good idea doing an Egyptian clan, and Kiya being the Jackal or "Anubis" garg of the clan, and female at that, she's awesome and so much fun to draw!
As slow as I'm going with Volpe's commissions, I am excited about FINALLY having the time to get some serious work in on them. School's been a butt this term >_<
oh YAY I'm so glad you like her! she was fun do draw, and really I was like five minutes from home when I had the ankh shirt think just literally POP into my head, I was thinking of a top sorta like that the other day for Shani (my wolf garg oddly enough) but just with the loop around her neck, kinda like a halter top, but from the center instead of the sides. Well as you can see it spurred the white ankh thing, that and I thought the beetle buckles would be a fun little detail to toss in as well, after I decided to place the stocking/sock things on her feet. I'm not sure if the style of her bottom is Egyptian or not, but it seemed to fit. The only thing is now that I've looked over the other entries, I kinda feel bad that the bottom's style is kinda like another entry you've got. The only thing I'm iffy about is the jewel that hangs around her waist, but I figure if she doesn't like it or it gets in the way she can remove it that and it might be a nice little detail for when she's just wanting to look pretty
anyway, I'm so glad you like her! And your commission, or the first one and perhaps the second and third sketches should be to you by this weekend and at the latest next week the commission should be finished this weekend though. SO I'll keep ya posted
and actually they're Prismacolor markers, not as expensive as Copics and probably not quite as good, but they're DEFINITELY the next best thing I love mine, I think I've got 144 of them, plus the colorless blender marker.
Some people have been asking me about this stuff so I decided to gather all information in one single article on how to make your own portfolio, in a profesional and clean looking way. I hope it's useful, because these steps I myself take.
