I wanted to point out the fact that while his eyes are detailed and well-drawn, his right one (his right, not the viewer's) is slightly too large and his left eye is a bit too small. Generally, if something is further away, it will appear smaller (and vice versa).
Also, the eyes are spaced further apart than they should be (ideally, when viewing the human face head-on, the eyes should be the width of one eye apart). It's probably his left eye that looks too far from the other one.
The last thing is how high/far back the part of his hair is.
The good news is that all of these are slight things and they fall under the same category: spacing. If you were to use a grid at the very beginning for position and proportion... well, I'd really like to see the result, given your obvious ability/enthusiasm.
In short, keep up the great work. I hope this helped a little.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
The Cutting Edge is a weekly article that features brand new selected high quality art products that caught our eyes. Check out the cutting edge prints some of your fellow artists have submitted in the past week!
