"Tell the little boy in his mother's dress that God hates him."
I love this. The wording builds the character so well, I can almost see her with her daughter in her lap.

nice! i like the clues as to how the future technology affects every day life both in the past and present. (or do i mean present and future?) you should continue this.

"We can but watch from behind the Dalek-proof sofa, and wait."
Very interesting. Nice tone throughout, and you get a sense of who the character is and what she looks like through a few simply paragraphs. I love how you also estrange motherhood for the reader. She is a woman who most of us would be wary of letting around our children, but we also know, through her entry, that she loves her daughter as much as the next woman.
I loved this. You made it sound so--real, while still keeping in the sci-fi-ish theme, which is what any good science fiction/futuristic piece ought to do. 2018 is a touch close to the present, though, for all of the spiffing technology you mentioned.
I really enjoyed reading this. Must...colllect...(when is there going to be an emote for that, anyway?)

`karemelancholia is one of the most genuine deviants you could ever met. Always active and a true deviantART cheerleader and supporter in every aspect. You can always count on her to lend a hand or get involved, and you usually will find her doing large amounts of both at any given moment. She's consistently reports on contests around dA, showcases the efforts of her fellow artists and shows her charitable side through various activities. Besides all of this, she's a truly talented artist which is why she's an obvious choice for deviousness this month. Read More
