she is so beautiful, its amazing how still you got her to be, and with that dead on stare. looking into my soul!

My calico kitty is about 15 years old too, and she look so young too. Calicos have a way of always looking so beautiful no matter how old they are :3

Wow! Wonderful expression. We have a Tortie cat at our work as well (I work with Cats Protection in Scotland) and she has a lot of stomach problems, so she's a permenant feature on the front counter now :D

Wow, I knew your calico baby was older, but I didn't realize she was that old. She's just as beautiful as ever though, just like Cali. Cats in general tend to hide their age very well, unless you really know what to look for. Smokey is almost ten, but doesn't look or act like it.

Cali is an awesome cat. You have to work to keep her interest though, so getting the shot with her looking dead at me was a challenge.

Even more of a challenge when this kid came over, clearly seeing me taking the pictures and working with Cali, and did everything he could to try and distract her and stand right next to me and stare. Thankfully his father finally caught up to him and told him to leave me alone because I was trying to get pictures, then walked away. The kid persisted, so I finally turned to him and asked if he could stop because he was agitating Cali at that point. His father happened back around and saw him and disciplined him again. He had to practically drag the kid away, but did.

I sort of felt bad, so once I got the pictures I went and found them in the store and showed them what I had been trying to do. The father then told his son "See what happens when you leave people alone so they can focus on their work? She got some nice photos of the kitty".

So maybe the kid learned something.

Thank you! I was so happy to get her looking right into the camera. She has such beautiful, vibrant eyes. I looove tortoiseshell calicos. Two of my beloved babies who passed several years ago were tortoiseshell calicos. I have a little korat cat named Smokey who has some stomach issues. She's about ten now, so I worry about her a lot.

Wow persistant kid indeed. But thats so sweet that you tried to find them again to make things clearer for the kid, i'm sure it made him learn something and feel educated a bit :)

I miss my kitty, she lives with my mom at the moment. My asthma is bad lately, and in a cramped apartment, i can only handle my three little ratties. Otherwise i'd take her back in a jiffy. Hopefully when we get a bigger place, i can have my kitty and doggy back with me :3 Then you can come visit the Ash zoo or vice versa :P

I tried really hard on this shot to keep her attention, and I was thrilled it came out so well. She's such an awesome cat, even if she is older and set in her ways. ;)
