Some people believe that their soul is not human, that they have the soul of an animal trapped in a human body. They are called therians.
I'm not a therian, but I sort of feel the same way. I feel like I don't belong in a human body, or that there is something not right about it.
Have you heard of people who are transgendered? It's a clinical condition: a man who isn't just gay, but who truly believes he ought to be a woman. He doesn't FEEL like a man - he feels like a woman, but he's got a man's body. Same thing with women - some women feel as if they should have been born a man.
It's sort of like that, except I feel like I shouldn't have been born human, or at all. I'm not really sure what it is, exactly. I just know I feel something different from most people.

this is really dynamic and interesting piece. I like the composition and the ideas behind it. Sometimes i think it would be wonderful to have the ability to have two forms, human and animal, so that both sides of a persons personality have a shape that suits them best. Don't you often get asked which animal you think are most like, i do, and yet i find it very hard to come up with an answer. Also may people believe in totem animals or the idea of deamons, as in Philip Pulman's his dark materials.
I watch a lot of people for their art, epecially anything to do with wolves, but you jocarra are one of the people that ask the most interesting questions and ideas. This also means your art and journals are very different and interesting. You are a brilliant artist!

Thank you very much, I'm glad you like it Also, thank you for the wonderful comment.
Yes, I've always been fond of the idea of transformation, the ability to make your outside reflect what is inside, and to have everything feel in harmony that way.
Most people think I'm cat-like. I've had a few people say they see wolf in me, but I don't quite feel as therians do, so I don't think it's fair to call myself one. I'm just... odd, and eccentric, and there's something else about me that doesn't feel quite right in the body I'm in.
I do subscribe to a SORT OF kind of therianthropy, though. I do believe in expressing the "animal-like" parts, I think it's healthy, and so I believe there's nothing wrong about adopting totem animals that a person thinks help express who they are or how they feel.
Thank you very much, again
