This is a really great execution. I love the idea, though it makes me wonder how the mood would change (if at all) if the setting were, say, under a train trestle, or under a bridge, or in an alleyway.
Well, yes, since she's standing on it. Mostly I just meant that it certainly prodded the imagination with lots of possibilities. But then, I guess that's what a contest is supposed to do, duh! lol
True enough. Its not my strongest piece by far, but idea wise, I wanted to see it out. The lighting was incredibly hard to do, plus getting the sizes and depth of the elemtns. The background, wasnt meant as a real background, just a them to promote the idea. I dont expect to win, but I wanted to do something other than putting a fairy in the middle of an alley or city as alot of the other pieces entered have. So..I set out to do something and did it. While not perfect, at least its done.
Very interesting! I like your interpretation. Adding the bench in was a good idea, too! So much attention to detail.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
A collection of the most beautiful and amazing square photographs I found among my favourites. Please have a look and give these artists the attention they deserve!
