My friend, who plays EVE with me, told me once that Gallente or Caldari ships are what we want space-ships to look like when we start making them, but Minmatar ships are what they will look like.
To be blunt, aside from the megathron, most gallente ships are curvy ugly... and most caldari are too right angled. "The armor plates are hard to curve" says CCP. I don't see why they just can't stagger smaller ones. And the symmetry, or rather lack there of, on Gallente and Caldari drives me nuts... Which is why I like (most) amarr ships. Coercer FTW! And the abbadon looks amazing when firing. The inties aren't bad either.
My friend plays Caldari, so he's biased.
