Holy CRAP this is underappreciated! I am *astounded* by the composition and overall concept. Love the pose of the figure and the muddy style of coloring. Love that the figure is very real, and yet the birds and the smoke contrast in a nice dreamy, stylized way. Really, really great work!!
Looks quite good. I really dig the birds and all the swirly designs/smoke/clouds? Haha. 
The only thing that looks a little odd, is the pants. They look a little flat compared to the shirt and jacket.
