Yup, gotta have the horns. I'm not sure these belong to any species in particular, this was done before I learned how to properly DRAW antlers/horns, so if I were to do another Greenman I would probably give him horns instead of "generic twiggy antler things" (you know, like how Puck's antlers used to look). Probably ram's horns because those are delicious.
My dad says to roll it and ship it in a tube, but I'm pretty sure that'll ruin the ink so I'm going to ship it flat. I need cardboard. And duct tape. Lots of duct tape.

You're right, this is definatly one of your best prints so far. Like the dawnbringer picture, this is a step away from your apparant usual fair, and is certainly much more colourful, but still very well executed.

Your choice of colours is certainly very good here. They're still natural tones ( you seem to have an overfondenss for natual tones, even when not focusing on actual nature scenes... ) but the overall feel of the picture is very different. You've got a very enclosed, almost claustrophobic feel here, as you apparently intended. The use of lighter, fainter colours in the background really gives this picture a feeling of depth, yet it's enclosed depth, like looking down a tunnel. Thats certainly a very clever contrast, where you are able to convey both a great distance, and a tight enclosed compactness all in the same picture, so well done.

The Green Man is a very iconic figure alright. He's certainly very well at home with your oter arrar of nature spirits, though it's interesting to see that you can capture a well known, iconographic figure as well as you can create you own unique characters.

My favorite part of the whole picture though is the texture on the wood. It's very natural, yet at the same time, the colours have a very whimsical spirit world quality to them, like looking at the real world through a distorted glass. It's a nice link with your nightbringer-bringer picture, which also had such characteristics, as opposed to say Puck herself who although very mythological, seems more grounded in our own natural world, than in the spirit world. At least, the quasi- mayan phycodelic spirit world in which I am apparently thinking of. No doubt she would be equally at home in an Unseeli-esq setting.

Perhaps I'm reading to much into this, but is there something behing the fact that while the picture is surrounded by leaves, the trees themseves are devoid of them? It's very morbid really, like a framed picture of death, from a very natural, non-human, perspective. Alternativly, with the very autumnal colours of the central images, it could just be a doorway of sorts into the next season?
