They aren't "about to pass" it though are they? They want to, but as far as I know, it may not actually happen. Or am I wrong?

I doubt this bill will pass. But, as I've said before to a friend of mine - I think this is something we artists need to unite against to show the big businesses and the government that we are NOT expendable and that they CAN'T treat us like crap.

Third stamp for the cause, I'll add this one as well to my journal! :)

To me as long as such a bill exists and people are lobbying for it, it may pass. It's that simple.

I would have doubted such a bill to even exist.
This is so off, so far away from every common sense, and still there it is.

Eh, it seems to me that a lot of people are getting up in arms over nothing yet. So far this one article is the only one that I have seen about this thing. If it's that huge an issue where are all the other articles? I haven't looked into it that much but so far EVERY link I have seen has been to this one guy's article. :\

I mean it's not only that people can use art without paying for it...
Why should anyone from the states hire you and pay you, when they just can google for free? Legally?

There is no point in waiting for anything to become bigger or more certain or whatever, those people who want this bill to pass don't wait for anything either.
