Thanks for the kind comments everyone :)

This is one of my favorite Miner Bee shots from this spring. Early in the year the weather creates a "stop and go" environment -one minute there is enough heat that the bee can move, and the next the sun is behind the clouds and their metabolism takes a nose dive. Later on in the year they will be almost impossible to shoot at this magnification (around 2x for this image, so my working distance is 2.5").
