a rally shot doesn't really need much higer sutters than 320 or 400!
any higher than that and the pic will loose all the action and action will be "freezed"
ur shutter speed is just fine .. tough you could go much lower and extreme sometimes ;D

Some of my best shots were with 1/1000 on film, I love freezing giant rocks in the air. 
well ... me as mainly a tarmac rally shooter is kinda hard to get any action at all at tarmac with that kind of speed ...
