That is a beautiful Ammonite specimen and it must have been expensive judging by the ammolite sheen (ammolite is the nacreous layer of Cephalopods that was chemically transformed during fossilization aka the shiny stuff). It must have been hard to find one that great. It really is beautiful.

How do you get all those wonderful details without soldering or mold work? And what gauge silver wire do you use? And how the HELL do you get it to bend so perfectly? My wire work always gets those annoying little bends in the wire that I can never just seem to get rid of.

And just for giggles, the largest Ammonite found in the fossil record was 8'6" in diameter. I would have hated to be a fish running into that thing. XD

I have worked a little bit with silver. And because of that I can really appreciate this kind of work. I mean… It’s really beautiful for the eye. It’s stunning. But that fact that I can see how much work you have put down in it makes it even better.

I’m amazed.
That is gorgeous, what with the "stone" and the lovely wire design!
I'm stunned. O_O
