Ohhh I think I'm going to have to take you up on that dare, Ty XD I've always wanted to try Amano's style, it's so strange, yet strangely appealing.
But yis, you've got some gorgeous stuff going for you here, the flow is really nice, and good job at making it look traditional, it came out looking almost like watercolour.
Here's one. Pokemon, done Amano. Actually, I might give that a go

Beautiful posing, rich colours, patterns and just the whole design of the character. You highlighted the detailness of the character nicely by keeping the bg simple. And you definitely fooled me thinking it was done traditionally.
this looks wonderful, like the others, i'm impressed by your ability to create a traditional look with digital tools. one little crit i have to mention though, is that her back foot seems too small or narrow to me. it looks great otherwise
Ah yes, that odd water-colourl-like style that I'm not entirely sure what it is. Definitly a personal challenge. Interesting, though, as your picture reminds me of Crystal Chronicals with the Water staff looking something like one of the chalices from that game.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
