I am very impressed by the minimal noise in this piece. Is this due to post production work or would you attribute it to the Nikon D80?

Why would you expect more noise at iso 100 and 1,6 sec? It would be noisy at 1,6 minutes, but not at these settings. All DSLRs are okay at base iso and areound a few seconds. For exposures around a minute, you'll need a camera with CMOS sensor.

Hmm I think I am judging it by the results that i get from my own camera. It's quite possibly because I have a terrible lens lol I need to get some decent lenses. Great image
