uh well if you look at where his shirt (not the collar) meets his neck his neck is (pretty close to) normal length. The collar+low-cut neck makes it look longer (unintentionally)

that's really weird because it looks normal to me. his shirt meets his neck where the length of his neck is half the height of his head.
