Stained the newspaper with tea mixed with a very bit of very diluted PVA. Then attacked with alot more layers of PVA. So yeah, its fragile, but just about sewable.
It was a circle skirt, so I didn't have to worry about sewing it too much anyway. Lots of glue!
Glueing it onto muslin or somethingthin and similar would be a better option, but I ran outta time for that.
And you don't need so much glue either, so it'd probably hang better too.

I would ask you where you would suggest getting some PVA but you live over seas. xD
Any hobby or craft store.
They also sell it in DIY stores to seal wood and stuff.
