btw, i read your comment, and i was wondering why you want to live in japan? because there is only work in the cities and so people must commute sometimes six hours a day(each way)! and since that's too far, they will be forced to stay away from their families during the workweek and only come home weekends.
it's very hard to make it... you have to be very very smart. i would recommend just visiting because it would not be good to go there after high school. there are not many opportunities
but yeah... visiting is really fun ^ ^ they have a lot of great tourist-y things, and it's always good to broaden your horizons to see how other people live.

oh, well... that's a very competitive feild and most manga-ka's only have the jobs that they do because they know somebody that can get them that job... like an uncle from tokyo-pop or something... i know it's not fair

but i'm pretty sure that you can do that here! and it will likely be less competitive here! you should start off here to build a following so that one day if you still want to go to japan, you'll have some experience that may help you find a job easier.
