Yes! We just tested rats today (behavior though-- no injections or anything mean).

I should make a comment about the experiment (it's really quite cute)! The rats were tickled by humans and then we tested to see if they prefered human company and if they made happy (60 khz) or sad (20 khz) vocalizations.
