I love the clawmarks, particularly the ones across the face. I also love the way you frame him in light with the moon- it emphasizes how his eyes are just barely glowing.

Wow... this is just... wow. 
First off, I think you did a great job on the coloring and the lighting, so don't go knocking yourself. Second, the claw marks just came out so well. It's like showing you all the pain he's been through... 
My favorite parts are the hand holding his wrist, (it's like he's either trying to stop himself... or he's forcing the hand to claw at his flesh,) and the moon right behind his head working as an ironic sort of halo. The eyes send a shiver down the spin as well. In conclusion... wow.
