Oh, I see what you mean. I personally think the best logos are the ones made not directly from a font, but designed specifically for the specific letters that sit next to each other. It ends up making the logo look better as a whole. For this logo, I did everything by hand.
If a company changed its name, the modified letters would not look good and a new logo would need to be designed.
But if you want to make a font itself, you would use a font creation program like
Fontforge (a free program) or
Fontlab. You could probably find good tutorials on how to use programs like these, but the font itself will come from your head.
