Oh, I see what you mean. I personally think the best logos are the ones made not directly from a font, but designed specifically for the specific letters that sit next to each other. It ends up making the logo look better as a whole. For this logo, I did everything by hand. :) If a company changed its name, the modified letters would not look good and a new logo would need to be designed.

But if you want to make a font itself, you would use a font creation program like Fontforge (a free program) or Fontlab. You could probably find good tutorials on how to use programs like these, but the font itself will come from your head. ;)

Oh sweet, thank you so much. This helps alot. I usually do make stuff from scratch myself but sometimes I use font as part of it, but not the main part.

Like for my logo, it's a medieval shield with some style to it, and I used font for the R on it, and I used font for the words of the logo.

I don't have a scanner, and can't afford one right now, so Font is mostly what I have to start with for a base, if I'm gonna make any font logos from any form of scratch at all.

Plus I'm not that great at drawing stuff like that. But I'm awesome at drawing warriors, because I'm motivated toward them.

:) Cool. Yeah, most people start from fonts, so you can definitely do that. Good luck!
