I think that's a good idea, being able to pay "royalties" so to speak, to stockers who really put in effort and ingenuity! it'd also probably ease the problem of assholes using but not crediting stock!

good point there. Like maybe how you can chose to sell art as a print, if it meets size regs and quality then you'd be able to set it up for "buying", and if it's shite and graniy myspace poses they'd be rejected?

Sure, but it'd have to be done very much like Prints - only nothing is posted until a QA staff member checks it. Perhaps once someone is 'trusted' they can be left to submit, but I'd like to avoid goons posting any old junk hoping to make a few cents, which happens a lot with prints.
There are a lot of stock sites on the net, so this couldn't be done half-assed if it's going to be relevant - but it's a very exciting thought.
`radioPooh will be happy I remember he was always talking about having this done...
hurah! , cos if it's shite then nobody would want to actually buy it anyway lol! In a way i suppose it'd give proper credit and acknowledgement of the more SERIOUS stock artists really putting the work in and gradually cut out the one's who are just vain lol

hopefully! I mean people already submit shite to prints, even tho it doesn't pass its not really pretty to see. But with actually selling stock there'd deffinatly need to be something in place otherwise people would try and make a buck of some crap or another and it would drag everything else down with it. Its something that needs to have set guidelines and rules set in motion before actually doing it.
No, if I had to buy resources I would either stop doing manips or simply get them elsewhere. Since I do not sell my manips as prints, i cant effort this.
Imagine we manipulators need a huge amount auf resources, from which the most we may never use. I download gigabytes per week, just in case I could sometimes need exactly this pic, brush, tex etc.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
I think it would need some sort of quality control, i can imagine idiots thinking they can sell their myspace grain shots
