So my mom and I were talking on our way to the grocery store the other day, and we came to the subject of sentences and the quality of their composition (this is why intellectuals are so socially awkward). Then, we decided to try and think of some of the best sentences ever written, based upon their imagery, word usages, flow, and memorability.

I came up with "Words are flowing out like endless rain into a paper cup."

She got "The Man in Black fled across the desert, and the Gunslinger followed."

So how about you all? I'm sure someone out there can top these.

Oh, and it has to be a published sentence, one that everyone could go out and look up if they so choose. No originality here, folks. Include the sentence as well as its author, book, song, or whatever context you took it from.
