Ok, so I'm bored, and watching SciFi late at night because Saw II was on and I've always been curious about what Saw was about/why some people like it. And I probably shouldn't be watching horror at all since it's late at night and I'm afraid of zombies/finding random dead people at night anyways...

So after Saw II was over (I caught the end of it, and had no idea what was going on), "Rest Stop" comes on. Curious about horror movies (it's not a genre I particularly like, though there was one made by the WWF that was interesting in the fact that I had fun making fun of it with my boyfriend) I decided to watch it. OH MY GOD. Bad movie. BAD!!!
Plot consists of:

1. Teenagers have sex in car.
2. Scary guy in truck tortures boyfriend and traps girl in reststop bathroom.
3. Creepy things happen, mostly involving blood.
4. Plot stops making sense, with added blood.
5. People do incredibly stupid things, resulting in more blood.
6. One scene that's kinda sad, but very bloody.
7. History repeats itself.

The movie isn't even over yet... but GOD. The girl's dialog consists of "oof!" "Unf!" "ugh!" "AHHHHHHHHHHG!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!" and *heavy breathing*.
Oh, and if anyone tries anything, it results in:

a. Blood.
b. An explosion.
c. Excruciating pain.
d. More blood.

It's not even SCARY! It's a little creepy, but 90% gore and not much else.

tl;dr: I miss Alfred Hitchcock.

Saw 2 sucked, because they fell back on the "trap a bunch of stereotypes in a small place" plotline. It would have been better if all the other characters weren't there and it was just Amanda and Daniel in the house looking for a way out. The only reason they put more people there was because people had to be whores for traps, they just wanted more and more traps instead of a real story. The parts between John and Detective Mathews were brilliant, but the house scenes could have been so much better than they were, if it weren't for the trap whore fans.

We saw a movie called the Nun recently that was suppose to be scary but was so predictable it was funny and the ending was the lamest part of all about it.

That's pretty much the point where I started watching... after only Amanda and Daniel were alive and everyone else was just a creepy prop body.

I'm just waiting for them to run out of so many ideas that the only thing they can think of is to put people in a room full of happy bunnies, and flowers with pink walls where they pet the bunnies and eat cake and absolutely nothing scary or gory happens to the people or the bunnies.

I watched Saw 2.

God damn it was boring. Every now and then it was okay. . . but it was stupid all around. The big guy that started killing everyone-they made him going insane quite bland and overall boring(I like crazy people in movies, he didn't seem crazy for what he was doing enough). And the reactions of people were fucking lame. When the big guy threw Linda(woops. I mean the girl from the first movie or whatever, also Linda from Becker) into the needles. . . it was pretty damn retarded. The black guy should have so shoved him from throwing her in seeing as how jumping down and using cloth would have been so much easier for any of them. The ending with the girl turning out to be Jigsaws apprentice. . . was a bit silly for me.

TL;DR: Saw 2 was full of characters doing things stupidly yet not acting them out very will, twists and turns that came out of nowhere(in a retarded fashion), and blood. At least Jeepers Creepers was kind of funny. this wasnt.

From what I've seen of horror movies, it seems the best thing to do with them is just sit there and make fun of them.

Also: lol I'm watching the next horror movie that's no, and have realized that a tunneling wind sound can make anything creepy.
