Why does God hate dwarves, hunchbacks, black people and Dudley Moore?

Where does it say God hates dwarves, hunchbacks, black people and Dudley Moore???
xTernal7's avatar
Why? Gold. Lot's of it. (That's why Smaug occupied the Dwarven kingdom under the lonely mountain).

Dwarves (other than Thorin's band) don't really seem to mind that "God" hates them, though.

Why does he hate those?
neurotype-on-discord's avatar
Hatred is only a perception of unfairness.
carusmm's avatar
Hate is the upshot of love.
neurotype-on-discord's avatar
Only if the love isn't reciprocal. So do humans not love god?
bohobella's avatar
He doesn't hate you, He's just disappointed in you.

Which god hates Dwarves? Pretty sure Odin and company love the little drunken rascals.

All of them. If they didn't; short people would have dignity. I've never seen any evidence of that, though.

The best answer to any "Why does God…" question I ever heard from a christian was along the lines of "Why don't you ask him yourself, either now or after you're dead?". How could I or anyone disprove that? Of course I could say "He doesn't exist", but then my entire question of "why does he…" becomes moot.

Where does it say in the bible that God hates? The only thing he HATES is Sin, which the action not a person. Unless you have scripture to prove me wrong.
hippo-rim-job's avatar
I'm assuming he got that impression from people claiming to know God's will, who devote themselves to pointing out what they perceive to be sin in others and taking it upon themselves to create legislation based on it, while simultaneously disregarding their own shortcomings, which are apparently okay.

Or it could be a generalization, based on the misconception that anyone born with some obvious physical deformity must be the object of God's derision.

Leviticus 21:16-20. (KJV)

Yes, I'm VERY familiar with ONE passage from the OLD testament that can easily be considered ambiguous. :pat:

Ah, now this I understand. :iconlightbulbplz:

I know I am mid range on that, though I do have pretty good timing when it comes to things.

Because people hate, and they like imagining that the perfect objective being they stand behind hates the same people they do.

God doesn't hate he is absolute love but if your a christian then they will make you think that god hates
Smkiller's avatar
"he is absolute love"

That's right. The big guy in the sky who sends people to burn in hell for eternity for a finite crime is "absolute love". What a guy.
hippo-rim-job's avatar
Why are you attributing merit to a concept that was perpetuated by other human beings who have no evidence?

I can understand thinking Christians are douchebags for judging and condemning others. But imagine that there IS a God, but they are wrong about Him and they are the ones who have it mixed up.

Just a thought.
Smkiller's avatar
Hell, I imagine that all the time. But when it comes to having a practical (or as practical as possible) discussion with a person who believes in a higher power, I might as well say what's wrong with the concept that they support. It's more fun that way.
hippo-rim-job's avatar
Except it makes you sound as ignorant as you are claiming them to be.

Don't judge a concept by its extremists. And don't combat extremism with extremism. Historically speaking, that has never worked.
EnuoCale's avatar
Actually, Communist Russia's war machine proved pretty effective in helping stop Hitler. :P
hippo-rim-job's avatar
Yes but that was an acute situation. Same with Hiroshima. It doesn't work in a prolonged sense.
Smkiller's avatar
A person claims that their God is all loving, and I use an example of what is assumed to be the word of that God to show the contrary, and... I somehow sound ignorant?

I'm quite tired and shouldn't even be online, so forgive me if I'm misunderstanding this.
hippo-rim-job's avatar
What I'm saying is, let's forget the old testament. Let's assume Jesus was a real guy who came for the reasons it says in the Gospel and that God is all about love and loves everyone and yadda yadda. IF that's true, then if you examine the majority of modern day Christians, they actually represent the very people Jesus came to overthrow. They just don't see it, because they are blind.

It is possible for the Bible to be true AND for them to be wrong, is what I am saying.

To insult or attack someone's beliefs is not an argument. And if they are intelligent enough to realize that much, you will forfeit any chance you had of reasoning with them.

lol no such thing as hell. love and hate are opposites right? so if god is absolute love then no hate could ever come from god. who told you that god sends people to hell lol stay away from religion
Smkiller's avatar
I know there's no such thing as hell. But I'm working on the claim that one exists (the 'what if' side of things). If the God of the bible exists, then he does in fact send people to hell, just as the Bible says.
TripleGazhang's avatar
Thats understandable, but religion is corrupt when it comes to God. I view God as my Intuition which is my inner voice. Have you heard the phrase that "We Are All One". If we are all one and God exist within us all then why would he harm or seek vengeance on anyone.
Kimihro's avatar
Because some authority figure told you he does. :I

I can't speak for the others. But I think his hatred for Dudley Moore was most likely fueled by Arthur 2: On The Rocks.
