Australia has no sovereignity, never has. First it was the Poms, now it’s the Yanks and the Israelis. We’ll bend over for anyone if you stroke us the right way. You’ve already sacked two of our Prime Ministers for the heinous crime of patriotism.

You’re right about the Israelis. There’s an Aussie TV show about airport customs–can’t recall the name. One episode a few years back showed a Hasidic Jew getting caught bringing in bags of rust-infested leaves, which he absurdly claimed were for cooking purposes, as if grossly infected plant material was suitable for cooking. In any case, he identified himself as a professor of law in Israel who, by his account, had obtained aboriginal status and was immune to such treatment by the customs agent, who wasn’t buying it. What struck me was that it appeared to be straightforward espionage involving biological sabotage, probably of fruit tree crops, and that this guy had the nerve to threaten the customs agent. Another thing you ought to be watching is the large number of Hasidic Jews flying to and from Sydney, Brisbane and Israel as if they’re pioneers anticipating future colonization of your country by Israel.
