Comment on Need some Serious Tips/help to create a design by Lari81
Hey Guys,
Im currently working on piece for a friend of mine and i am kinda stuck and cant figure out how to make it better. I have never done something realistic before, my main thang is bit more cartooney and stuff. Im looking for some advice/tip/help on how to make my work better.
I got this pic of a chilly, and I am trying to make it look like its part ruby and part emerald.I have worked on it so far and can only seem to achieve this much. I wanna try and make it look a bit more realistic. Anyone got some advice for me here??

That's the best resource I know on gemstones...
From what I can see of yours it's still too opaque to appear like a jewel
