Sure, it's perfectly fine when it's all by itself, but why does sex have to invade violence? Come on! I just want to watch explosions and gunfights without having boobs shoved in my face! Is that too much to ask? I don't mix my violence with your sex (except for BDSM, which really doesn't count as actual violence), so keep your sex out of my violence.
Also, they use sex in commercials all the time to sell products. Why don't they ever use violence? Wouldn't you love to see a bunch of guys tearing each other apart with machine guns to get a bowl of Cheerios? Sure, it might traumatize our children, but in my opinion, children aren't being traumatized enough. The only reason for Americans to breed is to create more soldiers to fight for freedom. We need to weed out the weaklings early on. Survival of the fittest, man.
Also, I genuinely have a problem with action heroines wearing tight leather. Not only is it mixing sex with the violence, it's incredibly stupid. Tight leather is not good for fighting in. It makes you sweat, makes loud squeaky noises whenever you move, and completely eliminates all flexibility.
So, basically, I just want my violence. It's a simple desire. I just want my guns, bombs, rocket-propelled chainsaws, tanks, swords, axes, and curbstomping boots. I don't want sex interfering with any of it. Okay? Okay.

That is no doubt the funniest thing I've heard all week. Have a cookie
You have a good point. Though honestly violence is just as commonly real as sex. Throughout history there have been wars and murderers. There is a quite heated mix of atrocities, executions, and shoot-outs in the Middle East right now. Is that anymore unrealistic than say the foot-ball jock making out with the cheer leader in a random locker room? In harsher parts of the world getting killed or getting lucky are an equal 50% 50% percentage chance. Neither topic can really be grouped as unfeasible and both can blur the line between reality with fiction.
Of course you're right about one thing. When you mix too much sex with too much violence the end result is NEVER pretty.

While those violent events are real, they are very removed from most Americans, who are likely to never see such events in real life. It's why 9/11 was one of the most world-shaking events to the U.S., while constant suicide bombings overseas are being brushed aside. Most Americans never come in contact with true violence, which is why millions of dollars are spent in simulating such acts for them.
I think it is more or less where you live in America that determines whether you experience violence or not. I've not always lived in the best neighborhoods I suppose. At many points in my life violence was more or less common. To deny "evil" in the form of brutality, murder, and rape exists here in the U.S.A is optimistic yet a bit naive. We have to aknowledge our cities have a problem for it to be dealt with and made better. Regardless I still don't see a legitimate reason why people are more comortable watching bloody displays of murder instead of sex. Death caught on film isn't always even fake. Think about the News and the underground cult series faces of death.
The truth is violence has been done to make profit many times. Look at movies such as Saw,Grind-house,300, and Hostil. What I don't understand is why people complain about "sex" more then they complain about gore, torture, and dismemberment. At least sex doesn't outright slaughter people causing their intestines to hang everywhere. But you're right about commercials. Sex is used to advertise everything. You'd think that ploy would get old but as Axe has shown not old enough for the idea guys to stop beating an already dead horse. What's weird about America is we post "suggestive kinky themes" everywhere yet fundies and prudes think it is appalling if they see nudity or sexaul intercourse in a film. Yet hey, violence is 100% ok with the masses! There is something disturbing and sick about that revelation. Apparently we rather raise serial killers then people that are educated on and open about their sexaulity.

But usually those violent films do contain sexual themes within them as well (WTF are those girls wearing?!). It seems as if the media is perfectly fine with sex within films as long as it's not the sole focus. I think that the reason why violence seems to be perfectly fine with everyone is because it's pure and obvious fantasy, many of those situations are unlikely to happen in real life, and violence for entertainment has existed since ancient times. With sex, however, it's a lot easier to blur the lines between fantasy and reality.

Yeah, but there's still sex. I don't want any of that.
Also, have you ever noticed, that in horror movies, when the girl with gigantic boobs is running from the killer, she'll stumble? Must be a gravity thing.
I agree, I just want to watch my daily dose of carnage. If I wanted to watch pr0n, I watch a porno ...and I'm not expecting to watch one anytime soon...

Exactly! All humans need to see violence, it's a need that goes back to ancient times. And do you think that the Roman gladiator battles were interrupted by a gladiator getting it on with a slavegirl? Not me!
Yes, no more leather, or any other types of clothing that only funtion as fanservice, especially if it's worn when something more funtional and appropriate is needed.

You're different.
But you must admit, even violence is seductive...

And, I agree with your post 100%!
'Is that a rifle in your pocket, or are you just pleased to see me?
...
Oh shit, that is a rifle.

Yay for being a prude!
There's no need for us violence-fanatics to have our bloodbaths interrupted with close-ups of silicone-filled boobs!
Not by much though.
Just watch more daytime TV, you'll be safe then.
HELL YES.
No! you got you violence in my sex!
...this is what i though of while reading that
This would be me-
