bases are stupid in my opinion
I've always found it funny and saddening to see people use bases and whine about the setting or whatnot not being accurate enough.
if you whine about a base, why don't you draw it yourself? that's what i always ask myself
Exactly. I've only ever used a base to begin to get an idea of my character's porportions before I move on to using linear frames. Even then, I alter it.

True enough. I've friends who do nothing but that, and I chew them a fresh asshole every time. Are you familiar with homestuck?

One of my 'friends' who uses nothing but bases and shit; who reads homestuck more often than me, I might add; drew a picture of her monochrome eyed yellow caste character holding her 'child'. I proceeded to tear her a new asshole for all of facebook to see.
