Gouache is so kindly, so sweet and forgiving compared to the water-based oils I've been working with for the last 3 years-- um, poOp, I've been working on the same 5 paintings FOR THE PAST 3 YEARS!!! Going back to Gouache, once all 5 are finally finished, will be like leaping into a vat of eggnog after a time spent in a dark cement room (not THAT bad; I do still love the 5, but will they EVER be finished?!!)...
