Hi there, and welcome.
Actually, I grew up in Maryland, and go to college here in the same town I grew up in. My partner lives in Mount Vernon, and I spend as much time there as I can given the distance. I graduate in May, at which time I will most likely be moving out to Ohio permanently. For now, I drive to Ohio at least once a month (and often twice), which I accomplish by skipping lots of classes. Fortunately, as a senior with a fairly good rapport with my professors, they tend to be understanding. I actually have a couple of friends who go to Kenyon, so I usually meet up with them at Middle Ground or something if I have a chance when I'm in Knox Co.
I used to use my Lomo all the time, but in the last year or so it's kind of taken a back seat to all my old vintage cameras. I need to pull it out and try shooting some photos with it again.
Your photos are neat, and they caught my eye, and I'm glad that there's at least a couple of people on here who can appreciate Mount Vernon. It's not a bad place, really -- just a bit rough around the edges.
