Along time ago, one of my *artistic* (couldn't leave that part out) guy friends mentioned this site to me, but I never really checked it out, until recently. I currently have two other web pages; one on xanga, and the other on live journal. I enjoy reading, writing poetry, playing the violin, and drawing. I figured that by joining this site, I could start posting some of my work and participating in the critiques of others' work. While I'm in this nifty comment space, I might as well just take advantage of the awesome emoticons from which to choose.
Hey Pat!
I'm new and not quite used to the system. If you could give me some pointers on how to display my art on this site, that would be great. Thanks!
sure thing! look up near the top of the page for the 'submit' button... once you click that it will take you through the necessary steps to posting your art, like category, description, image file, etc.
thats all there is to it you'll have it figured out in no time... if you need any more help feel free to drop by my page
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
The Cutting Edge is a weekly article that features brand new selected high quality art products that caught our eyes. Check out the cutting edge prints some of your fellow artists have submitted in the past week!
