I find it very interesting going holiday shopping before the masses hit the stores. There are so many artistic type things out there that have lost the true meaning due to mass production and commercialism.
My husband and I found a little nick-nack booth that is selling velvet circles with wolves and indians painted on them and feathers decorating the outer rim of the painting. Although very artistic in their own rite the whole meaning of the paintings is lost to me because they are no longer unique. We ended up buying a touchlamp with painted glass shade for my husband's mother.
I often wonder if my work will become common-place.
In November I was talked into doing a writing challenge. 50,000 words in one month. At first I did not want to do it because of my work schedule and the holiday but I did start on it. I managed to type 35,000 words in about 17 days which was short of the challenge but not enough to be commended for the effort. It was enjoyable though.
This month my thoughts have wandered back to visual work again. I would explain more but I am always afraid I will not finish a project if I write/say too much.
Lets just say that one project includes a somewhat large mural (actually three put together in a small area of a house) the project dimentions are going to be about four feet high and twelve feet long.
In the next thought spot I will be explaining the cooks/chemists novice developement of clays. I might even include some recipes for those clays.

Get your creative juices flowing and design a movie poster for "Paper Heart" that focuses on the theme "What Does Love Mean to Me?".
The butter legion- a socialist movement/mass colab project I started, to trigger artistic change and evolution in Da artists (mainly my watchers), to make them more active and dedicated on DA. Now 170 people strong and growing... A "dangerous cult"? a "new religion"? "artistic version of fight club" or "communist movement"? You decide!
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
