If you want to use the emotes, just bring up the emoticon legend, find the one you're after, highlight the :youremotehere: text and copy to your messagebox. Just make sure the :'s are there. Hope that makes some sense.
You can find the avatar settings on your settings page. Pretty confusing at first, but you'll get the hang of it. If all else fails, the help & faq link usually answers a lot.
No problem. I am not really a visual 'artist' I am mostly into poetry & writing. I will most definitely try to get some pictures/art on here though for you all to see. I am just loving this site so far. All the people I've 'met' are wicked cool. Keep posting your work, because it is really amazing.

It is so cool that there is a mixture of all the arts, rather than JUST visual, or writing, or music...Hopefully I'll get his emoticon thing down. I will be checking out your art more as I get into the site more. Thanks for your comment! My page is looking a little more 'homey.'
