Awww, you can go into random encounters with pumpkaboos or Chain them in the grass to get them shiny, but you can't with zoura's.
I myself am hunting down a shiny Carvahna for Ruby and sapphire and naming it the name i want, i already got two shiny goldeens in the process of trying XD
Keep going with zoura and try to chain the pumpkaboo, it'll be worth it trust me :3

I think pumpkaboos live in REALLY tall grass that is as tall as your character, so I don't think you can use the pokeradar in it. I've tried before 
I feel like I should really get the shiny charm first before trying to get a shiny zorua because shiny zorua's seem rarer than others but I'm way too lazy to search on the GTS XD;; somedayyy I'll actually do it \ouo/
