I feel rather stupid because I didn't realize these messages were actually to me. I don't remember having ever done anything with my account and kept wondering why there were messages the few times I signed in; clearly I didn't glean any context. Now I know, hah! I think I am finally becoming familiar with how deviously the DeviantArt site is setup.
