I believe she's waiting until she is all setup to make a video about this whole situation, since you never know what can happen even with the money on standby. Also, I'm not sure how anyone can say thanks to 5k dollars in just a tiny deviantart comment.
She'd rather do the video when things finally slow down so she could have time to breathe and address it more formally. The money isn't even in her hands right now, since there's no proper ID to get herself a bank account.
Even if that is the case, it is confirmed that the goal was reached, people went out it their way to give an outrageous amount of money to someone they didn't know much.

It's not really a fantastic action to neglect the people that have done so much for her in the middle or this problem and prioritize those who don't, and to make it worse, in the worst way possible, where she says "all of them are terrible people" and you saying "they should get their heads out if their asses" while barely listening to their complaints.
You say this all like she isn't thankful, that she just took the money and ran. That isn't the case. She's very thankful but she doesn't want to just make a tiny post about it. She wants to say thanks in a way that would mean more to everyone who's helped. No matter what's happening, she is very thankful and hell, I'm thankful for what everyone has done too.
But we have to prioritize the actual problems before the situation can be put to rest, and I think she wants to end this all on a thank you video when the time comes, since it'll mean a lot more than just a tiny post.

I've seen your comments before on this situation, and as much as I wish I could tell you the whole story, there is information Wubcake would rather keep out the public eye for now and it's not my place to say them. She'd rather get settled and then give a final update for closure when her life has slowed down. I say patience because a life can't start overnight without some crucial missing pieces.
The situation is insane, and her grandmother is crazy. I have stayed with her and her grandmother before, and I've grown to realize that granny truly is on the loopy side of the equation. That's not to say that Wubcake has issues of her own, but she's getting the help needed to battle it. I'm sure her grandmother isn't getting the help needed for her dementia and just taking out her aggression on Wubcake.

There's a history of shit that has happened, which is where the restraining order came from. All falling under the situation where granny starts an argument and forces it to escalate with what she says. I've witnessed it too, and it's just an unhealthy place to live. Having to stay with someone who's had a history or physical, emotional, and even animal abuse is really terrifying on it's own.
