Thanks for the reply, it's especialliy nice from a coin collector.
sometimes you get a very bad reaction from coin collectors to carved coins.
I understand their concerns,but mostly,coin carvers,are turning,limited value coins into more desirable coins.They are also using hand carving tecniques,that are being replaced with computer engraving machining,to create modern coins.
I see it as being very similar to classic cars. For example, most people don't seem to have any issue with upgrading the engine, brakes, wheels, and paint on a large selection of older cars. I feel there are some things too rare to justify modification, but there is a big difference between a 1794 silver dollar and a 1930s nickel.

That's a good point.I save these up to fire back at negative comments.
I'm doing a few things with old UK pennies,they are sell for about 10 cents in there pre stamped state,and once i've stamped them I sell a few for $5 $12,so I've made a coin more desirable?
I would have to completely agree.
