I am Spanish on my father's side of the family and French on my mother's side of the family. My mom liked the name Isaac from the bible.:)

I believe all religions are connected somehow, but the need to special in the eyes of God keeps them apart! I probably, too, would be burned in the middle ages as I believe not one religion is right above the rest!

Christianity (and everything what has followed after and from it;P) in my opinion causes a kind of mental sickness. A mental sickness, not like the genetical ones, where the people are not responsible. A kind of with full responsibility! Cause not using your (god given) brain, makes you responsible fully!
And didn't you said a while ago, it was because of this political stuff, that it is always easier to ask for forgiveness afterwards?!? That caused a lot of harm in history, for society....
It seems to me, the people in heathen times were better and I think Voltaire is right alsoVoltaire Quote by eyesintheshadowsIn the meanwhile, he does for sure!!! ;P

Yes, that's a strong argument against Christianity. It went wrong a long time ago! As a Christian I believe in Jesus and his message only. Not all the hubris that the "Church" imposes upon its members and society in general. Like Islam, it has causes great hardship and harm to the world. Religion has been the bane of our existence here on Earth. It, too, allows for one to do wrong and harm and then be forgiven as a way out! I don't think there has ever been a time in history where people were better off as people are territorial due to a need for survival, our basic instinct, and always led to conflict. And where there is pending conflict there has been a need to control people through the "Gods", pagan beliefs, and religion in order to get people to fight the fight; a cause if you will.
