It's... pretty much true. I saw that video and laughed so damn hard at the railroad posters because it's TRUE.
Okay, so I had a damn good look for the poster with the bruise, but I can't find it. I don't think it ran for too long because it upset people ( =_= ) but there were two in that campaign: one had a guy with a giant black eye, and one had a large bruise on someone's cheek which took up the whole poster and had the map of the Underground made out of the swollen and burst blood vessels.
I did, however, find these gems which I'd also seen, the first of which is still in wide use:
