It's basically breaking it down into things like authorship, historical background, poetic elements/imagery, perceived meaning, etc. 
2000 words is about 8 pages.

is it double spaced? because double spaced saves lives.

Yes, all papers submitted have to be 12pt font (TNR) and double spaced. C;
And no, my paper was already over the 2000 (I think I finished and it was at 2500?), so no need for fluff. D:

I'm quite familiar with 12pt TNR :XD: ... it's been the norm for essays for quite a while.
I used to hate double spacing because I didn't understand that there was a layout function for line spacing that could double space for you instead of having to hit enter for everything line of text.

Good that you had so much content then! Sometimes that can be the hard part of an essay and you kick yourself later because you realize you could've substituted some fluff with some really solid evidence (.. or is that just me?)

I've never had that actually. Or maybe once back in first year, for the intro english course, but I can't actually remember if we did a paper revision.

Sophomore year of high school saw many paper revisions. However, college doesn't do nearly as many
