Yes love and tolerate is the foundation of this community, but those that are responsible for trying to remove Derpy are the ones that actually have abandoned those principles in the first place.
If they didn't like the name they could have just ignore it, how is it love and tolerating to make everyone else upset for selfish reasons?
It's not technically bullying when someone deliberately angers a group of people and then suffers the consequences for their selfishness.
1. Yamino tells people about how she thinks Derpy is offensive. 2. Bronies send death threats and aaaall the hate on her.
Which one is worse? Which one is really abandoning "love and tolerate"?
"If they didn't like the name they could have just ignore it, how is it love and tolerating to make everyone else upset for selfish reasons?" Soo.. what you're saying is that she can't be upset about something but people can hate on her because they're upset? That's what people seem to think..
It's not technically bullying when someone deliberately angers a group of people and then suffers the consequences for their selfishness. That's just an awful thing to say.. That's like a thing homophobes might say "well he's gay and it angers us therefore us bashing him is OK!" Actually, that's something any group could say to excuse bullying.

A lot of you have misinterpreted what I was trying to say.
With regards to the bullying statement: If a person spits on a church they can't act like a victim when they get attacked by the people inside. Obviously this is different if the person can't help it: like the homosexuality example. Which leads me to the second point.
With regards to freedom of speech: This is the internet! Yes feel free to speak your mind but be prepared for the consequence of your words. If you cannot handle how people react to you, then it's best you stay away from interacting on the web or people in general. Continuing with your example, if you flaunt your sexuality on the web, don't act surprised when other people react negatively towards it. Just shrug it off...
I hope that clears things up, if note I wrote an article on this whole Derpy debacle: [link]
Yes, I'm sure Yamino logged onto tumblr one day and thought to herself, "Well, time to piss off the bronies!"
She was just expressing her opinion. If you didn't like it then YOU could just ignore it. What you guys are doing, it's totally bullying. And my god, last night I wanted to be right along side you, but I actually had the decency to think before opening my metaphorical mouth.
It's not abandoning the ideas of love and tolerance to be offended by something. People have a right to speak out against things they deem to be unjust, just like I'm speaking against this flash mob. Oh I'm just saying, it's really fucking hypocritical to say "oh, trying to remove Derpy is against love and tolerance" and in the next sentence condone bullying. Check your priorities, mate Bullying is never okay, and this is bullying. You guys have gone crazy over someone's opinion and should be ashamed to call yourself bronies.

You're still a bully.
'I don't like a character in a children's show'
'You are a despicable person and I want to see you die'

You are truly a champion of moral fibre.
Oh the hypocrisy of the bronies.
