I haven't been able to draw very much lately, which may be the cuase of my "down-ness" over the past few days...Just today I decided to actually put up one of my works on this profile I made around 3 months ago...procrastination: not a pretty thing, you see.

I'm in the middle of working on a WONDERFUL little piece...I'll give you some background on his character before I put him up. He's an elf (big surprise). He's pretty young...around 13, I've figured. He's lost his parents at very young age. Young enough so that it was hard for him to get by without many troubles, and he's taken on a bunch of emotional dammage. However, all the memories of his family beforehand were fond, so he uses those as his strength, character/emotional-wise. His personality is somewhat optimistic, punctuated by periods of moodyness. Since he's so young, he has a maternal attachment to the main character (who is around 19). Oh! And he has a puppy-love crush!

Now, the plant he has with him: this plant has been with him since a year before his parents died. It was a gift. It's a tree-vine that bonds with the person who grows it. It gives that person protection (among other things), while the person protects it's roots, feeds it, and trains it. It's a sweet thing! So thier kind-of companions...the plant doesn't really have a personality (well, it's a plant!), but, since it's tuned into it's person's emotions, it will act sometimes without orders to protect their holder's emotional status (ei. if that person is extremely sad because of someone in front of them, the plant will do what it can to get rid of that person).

Sadly, the boy doesn't have a name yet...maybe I should hold some sort of contest for that...meh, I like to name my own characters...
