This is so true ... much past Science Fiction entertainment has already become science fact - It is a definate influence on much of our scientific explorations

This community is for fanatics of Scifi Entertainment ... in particular sci-fi Movies and TV shows which are not already represented by other DA clubs ... therefore we only accept fan-art from our club members, as there are already other communities on DA which represent artists who create conceptual sci-fi art. Please read our Submission Guidelines if you require more information.
We do however provide another service for members ... the listing of their sci-fi related public forum threads. These threads do not have to discuss scifi entertainment, they only need to be related to the concept of science fiction or scientific hypotheses.

I'm yet to see Donnie Darko, but I understand it's quite thought provoking ... will keep my eye out next time I visit the video shop.

I was under the impression that true science fiction fans called it 'sf'
But then, maybe that's just those of us who read the stories and the books. You don't mention anything about us in your welcome.

In any case, nice community.

I do not mention sci-fi literature because this is a "community for fans of Science Fiction Movies & TV Shows." ... of course fans of sci-fi books and stories, even sci-fi conceptual artists, are welcome to join however anyone wanting to join, must be aware that this club was created to represent those Sci-fi movies and shows which are not already highlighted by a specific club on DA (such as StarWars, Stargate, etc.) There are so many fav movies (such as 2001, Chronicles of Riddick, or The Butterfly Effect) and TV shows (such as The Lexx, Quantum Leap, or Andromeda) which have many fans, but no club for their fanart .... until now
Also, I dont think it really matters how someone refers to the genre ... science fiction, sci-fi, or sf ... but rather how the concepts make you think & feel (whether on screen or on a page), that makes you a true scifi fanatic.
