Another former oekakier at the same place... you probably don't remember me but I am/was cagedbird.
I am going to watch you of course. <--- DA ruins that smiley it's not my fault.
And yes, DA and newbies do NOT work. I stayed away from it for ages and ages cause the layout is so... I mean... not user-friendly is I guess what I'm going for here. They even used to have a link when you looked at an image that said 'next deviation', but it was the next deviation uploaded, not the next deviation uploaded by the same person. I mean come on.
You'll figure out the layout, though. It loads like mud on slow connections, but once you get the hang of where things are, you realize it actually does make sense, and is just very very good at hiding it.
oekakicentral is a little too realism oriented for me. I mena, just look at the main hall. There is NO good anime art there. AT ALL. And all the guys who can draw good anime stuff are too scared to draw there and just draw little shitty things in the middle room, whatever it was called.
:/ maybe if there was more emphasis on anime drawings than that weird psudo anime stuff, I'd draw there more!
A continuation of my unexpectedly-popular guide on Mary Sue prevention. Feedback and support is completely welcomed! Thank you all for your support so far.
Across the globe, 27 million men, women, and children live in some form of slavery. That is more people at this moment than in all the centuries of the Atlantic Slave Trade. Something must be done. This contest serves two purposes: Raising awareness about human trafficking and raising funds for the Not For Sale organization.
Open to all mediums. Deadline is March 10, 2010 @ 11:59pm PST.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
To help support the Literature community we hold regular contests. It is an opportunity for you to get involved and gain some exposure. Contest winners will be featured in a news article and a journal entry--as well as other fabulous prizes. Please read this article for more information on how you can participate!
